A Posing Field Sparrow

Waiting On The Spring Migration

This is the crazy part of the year at the Celery Bog where the water seems like the place to be, and the woods will soon erupt with the spring migration. I love the thought of how crazy the journey must be for these birds twice a year, and I always wonder why they pick my town to stop and rest in. For now we have to have fun with what is there. The field sparrow is one of those birds. This one posed nicely for me Wednesday morning.

An Unexpected Day Out

When I first looked at the forecast for the week Wednesday was a total wash. It looked like it would be raining all day long. The storm pushed just west of us for the most part so I was able to get out and get a nice walk in for a few hours in the morning.
