Watching The Moon Rise Over LaPorte

Last night I had an idea. The nearly full moon would rise very near the LaPorte County Courthouse. These photos always sound good, but they don’t always go according to plan. The overpass that is next to the courthouse could very easily have been in the way if my calculations were off a little. There is a point with these moon photos where I start to worry that I had it all wrong. Last night I had those same doubts just before the moon started to show up. As the moon was rising it made the half hour or so looking like a crazy person with a long lens in the Kroger parking lot worth it. I wish that I could have been a little farther away so the moon would appear a little larger, but I am really happy with how this turned out. Maybe I will get another chance at a photo like this one someday.

Back In My Hometown

I have been back in my hometown for a couple of days now. I have been pretty busy without much time to get out and see the town. The little time that I have had to see the town has been fun. I have a lot of great memories here. A lot of time spent and friends made. It is always fun to see what has changed and what hasn’t. Getting to make a photo like this one is pretty cool.
