Throwback Photo
Since Purdue is playing at Iowa this weekend I thought that I would post this picture that I took with my point and shoot in 2004. I was living in Iowa at the time, and I was very excited to see my Boilers play there. The game did not turn out as expected, but you can’t win them all. As I would quickly find out on my Purdue road trips they would not win many. I always liked this shot of the stadium from my seat. I think it was because of the action on the field combined with some elements of the Iowa campus in the background. I had a great time that day, and the people around me helped to make it fun. I wish that I were going this weekend, but you can’t go to all of the games.
A great blog that details games from the stands at Kinnick is The View From Kinnick 138. From the pictures on his blog I think that section 138 will show up in the picture above. I look forward to some pictures from the game this weekend on his site. Iowa is having a bad season just like the Boilers are. One team has to win the game so one of us will be happy in the end.
Technical Data
This was shot with a low res point and shoot so I couldn’t do much to it. In fact I would not want to do much to this picture. A couple of subtle adjustments in Lightroom made a good picture really come to life.

Hello friend. Man, I am so behind. I am just now noticing that you referred to my blog in this post. You are correct. You are looking at Section 138 and I’m in there somewhere. I ned to go back through some shots I took this year and get busy blogging. 7 months ’til kickoff!
No problem. I really did enjoy watching the season play out from a different perspective. I look forward to this season, and hopefully our teams will have better years.
