Making Candles

Sunday we were at Flora Candles again for their candle making class. This has become a popular birthday tradition in our family over the years. We all get together for some fun, and we get a candle for our time. I made this photo while the wax was setting up on my candle. This year we went for the 13th birthday of my youngest. It was a pretty fun start to a birthday week.

Making The Community Better

The owners of Flora Candle have really helped make the downtown area better since they opened their shop. They have been part of a group that has set up a lot of things that has made the downtown more fun. This weekend in fact they are part of the group that is putting on the Star City Nights festival. On Friday night there will be lots of free music and vendors downtown. You can find out more about the festival here.
