Photographing The Cannon At The Veteran’s Home
Fifteen years ago I made my first HDR image at this cannon. While out driving the other day I decided to pay it another visit. This time I really never thought of making an HDR image. A lot has changed in that 15 years. I just wanted to show off the cannon a little with the leaves all around it. I didn’t need to make everything crispy just to do it. Just showing the scene was good enough for me.
Looking Back At That First HDR Image
Reading that post from my first month of this blog is pretty funny looking back. I didn’t have the rights to the HDR program that I used, but I posted that watermarked image anyway. I was very interested in the HDR process, and over the next couple of years I fried the crap out of some photos using that technique. As time went on I still used HDR, but I tried to not have it fry your eyeballs so much. That first HDR image led to me using HDR on pizzas, dogs, and anything else I could photograph on my photo a day journey. You can see that first photo here, and see that it really wasn’t that great for what it was.
