Riverside Theater

This theater has already appeared on the blog in the short time since I made my trip to Wisconsin. It is an amazing marquee that deserves a couple of looks. This theater opened around the same time as the Mars Theater in Lafayette. It started off as more of a multi-use theater just like the Mars theater before just showing movies. It fell on hard times as the bigger movie theaters hurt thir business and had to close. It was reopened in the mid 80’s as a live music venue which it continues to be today. Today it looks amazing as you walk down the street.

Milwaukee Theater Week

A couple of weeks ago I had a theater week on the blog. It was a theme that just looked at some cool theaters that I had seen while traveling. While walking around downtown Milwaukee I kept running into theaters that I liked. Once I got to the third or fourth theater I realized that I had a theme week brewing. I love these old theaters in big cities. Milwaukee has enough to fill a couple weeks worth of posts.
