A Perfect Day For The Eagles

A Perfect Day For Eagle Photos

Yesterday was the perfect day for making eagle photos for me.  The weather was pretty warm, and the wind was fairly strong and out of the south. The clouds for the most part were acting like a huge softbox for me as well. It was a great day to make eagle photos, but I needed some eagles to do that. I got really lucky and was able to see a few eagles fishing on the Wabash. When you have a body of water as big as the Wabash you really have to get lucky to make some photos. I lucked into a few encounters yesterday that were pretty cool

A Little Behavior

I will never get tired of making eagle photos while they are just flying. I am always hoping for another behavior though. I want to see them fish or in the rare chance for me interacting with other eagles in the air. Yesterday I was lucky enough to get both of those. Here a mature eagle and an immature eagle have some fun gliding in the air. The immature eagle went inverted just like Maverick here to get a good view of the mature eagle. I was only able to be down at the river for around and hour, but it was an amazing hour. Here are a few bonus photos from my time at the river.
