The Blue Supermoon Over Purdue

The Supermoon Rises Over Purdue

The good thing about a month with a supermoon is that you get two chances to photograph the full moon. I missed the first one earlier in the month so I wanted to make a photo of this one. I was not seeing many things that I could put in front of the moon. We only have so many talk structures that line up with these full moon opportunities. This year I feel like I have done a bad job making moon photos. It is fun to plan a photo and then see it through. I need to get some more of these in this year.

Watching The Awe

I was on top of the hill at Pickett Park for this photo. The hill had a few people just hanging out on it, and one other photographer and myself there for the moon. As that amber moon started to rise it was really fun watching everyone jump up and take a look at it. The moon looks so big as it rises that it really is a sight to see. I am glad that I get out to see these things from time to time.
