Always Stop For A Nuthatch

Stopping For A Familiar Sound

I love the sound of the nuthatch. In the spring and the fall they are usually leading the migratory birds through the bog. This time of the year they are usually alone, but still a good photo study. Their body language almost always makes for a good photo. On this rare blue sky winter day being a little higher up on the tree meant that I had a cool background.

A Familiar Theme

Writing up my year posts I had a couple of photos of a white breasted nuthatch among the photos. I talked then about how I don’t go out to make photos of this bird, but I will not pass them up. No matter how many you have they are a great way to make some very interesting photos. You can find the nuthatch at number nine here on this Celery Bog countdown.
