Photo of the Day
Saturday I was on the field photographing the Purdue football game for the first time. I have photographed many other Purdue sports from the sidelines, but this was my first chance to photograph this close to the action. It was really nice because it was homecoming, and we had a MAC opponent in town. That should mean an easy victory, but this Purdue squad is still finding it’s way. There are many bright spots though. One of them is true freshman Danny Etling who basically only played the second half of the game, and still nearly broke a Purdue freshman passing record. His passes had some zip on them. He will be fun to photograph the rest of this season. More photos from my day can be found here on my Facebook page.
Technical Data
As with most of my sports images this had very little done to it. I adjusted a couple of sliders in Lightroom, but not much was done here.

Great sports shot! Could I ask , shot with Canon 60D or 5D Mark III? Had a terrible accident with the Canon 60D and broke it and the lens…In the market for a new one. Looking for sharpness…
That was shot with the 60D. I have only been renting the Mark III. The 60D is a great camera for sports if you don’t need the burst mode to be terribly fast. The crop factor gets you into the action just a little more.
Thank you for the input. Wrestling with buying used and old faithful or New and great. I do a lot of landscape shooting too.
