The Boat House

Photo of the Day

While on Assateague Island I turned down many roads that led to nowhere. Thankfully they would have something on them that was worth seeing. On one of these dead end roads led to this boathouse. For some reason it caught my attention. After making a couple of pictures of the boathouse I started to drive away. That was when I noticed the large group of horses across the small body of water having a morning meal. They were too far away to make a good picture of, but they were fun to watch.

Technical Data

This photo needed something out of the ordinary I thought. I used a Trey Ratcliff preset called Dramatically Hairy Chippy to start. This is one of his newer presets for Lightroom 5 that I have enjoyed using. A couple of minor tweaks to the sliders after applying the preset, and I was done.
