Feeling the Flo With a Nikon

Photo of the Day

Yesterday I bought a new camera. I have been meaning to find a point and shoot that I can take places that I cannot take my dSLR. After doing some research I found the Nikon Coolpix S9500. It really seemed to be the best of the low end cameras which is what I needed. Of course after buying the camera I had to test it out. I went just down the road to this abandoned diner to try a shot. This was the first shot that I took with the new camera. The old Flo’s Diner seemed like a good test subject with the storm clouds moving overhead. This is my first Nikon product. I do kind of feel like I am cheating on my Canon gear, but I guess I will just not have the two meet. I am going to a concert tonight in Indy so I will get to try out the new camera right away.

Technical Data

Since this was just a jpeg that was being edited I wanted to make a quick edit. I used another of Trey Ratcliff’s presets called HDR in Lightroom – On Recreational Drugs. That brought me right where I needed to be. I got a little greedy and tried to get rid of the electric wires and pole with the new clone tool in Lightroom 5. It does a decent job, but I could see where everything was. I decided that it could stay.
