Three Cameras At The Indiana Veterans Home Library
This is an old library that could be gone at any time. It is scheduled to be demolished in the future. I imagine that the only thing keeping it from being gone already is the cost to take it down. I love the look of this library. It has a Carnegie Library look to it, but it was built before that program began. It served a purpose during its time here, and I thought that I would take three cameras out to document it before it is gone.
Sony A7RIV With Sony 24-105mm Lens
This was part of a trip where I was getting to use this camera for the first time in years. It feel off a tripod just after the pandemic, and it didn’t make much sense to fix it at the time. I had just gotten it back from a repair that was more than I would have liked to spend so I decided to use the heck out of it. Here it makes a very normal photo of this library.
Canon 60D With Canon 18-55mm Lens
This is the combo that kind of started this blog. I was out making some photos with it when I decided to check out this library. This camera does not have the most megapixels, but it still makes a good photo. In this day and age when most photos just need to look good on a phone this would still do the job just fine. Here I really like what it did.
Sony A7RIII With Tamron 28-200mm Lens
This is my infrared kit. It is what I take out when I am in the infrared mood. This scene was not really lit for the infrared camera. There was probably a better photo somewhere in here that I could have used it for. This is an interesting photo, but not really what I want when I use the infrared.
Verdict
I can’t believe that I am going to type this, but I really like the Canon 60D photo. I made it first and then went back to my car to grab the other two cameras. When I did that I moved back a bit to get some more compression on the library. By doing that though I lost the sun flare which I think makes the photo with the Canon 60D. It is my clear favorite here. Which one is your favorite?
