900 Leonard Ct
This was the first house that I lived in. I was born living in a trailer. My dad saved and worked all kinds of overtime to get us this house. It was new at the time, and amazing. There is a common theme in this 50 day countdown. My dad did a lot to make sure that we had what we needed. That tree in front of the house was planted by my dad. It was as big as I was back then. We have both grown a little over the years. Blocked by the tree is the first basketball hoop that I played on. It was there that a member of the LaPorte Slicer coaching staff changed my shot from granny style and taught me how to shoot overhand. If I have beaten you in basketball over the years you have Dave Bailey to blame for that. So many memories in this little house. The backyard was so big at the time that I could never hit a home run out of it. I would love for a chance to do it again.
50 For 50
This is going to be a crazy theme. For the next fifty days I plan on posting a photo of a place that has some meaning to me. Last August I came up with a theme for a week showing some Purdue memories. At the end of this fifty days I will turn fifty. I thought that it would be fun to take a look back at some places that bring back memories for me. This can’t be an all inclusive list, but one that I hope will be fun for you as well as me.
