The Classic Cars In Prophetstown

While at the barn in Prophetstown to photograph the old time baseball game I explored the area around the field a little. I really liked these old barns with the classic cars in them. There are set up to make photos for sure. Usually at these things they are very authentic, but with some sort of sign in front of them that kind of ruins the old time look. Here they do a good job of preserving the old time look so that I can make photos that look like they could have been from another era.

My Fascination With Barns

I don’t think that my fascination with barns will ever end. Almost from day one of this blog barns have been a part of it. Big or small doesn’t matter. I like a good barn photo. The barns that I see while out and about are the kinds of things that could be gone at any time. A few times in the history of this blog I have made a so-so photo of a barn with the intention to come back in better light. Within a week those barns were gone. The old wood barns are slowly becoming a thing of the past so I try to document as many as I can.
