Changing Things Up
Saturday was supposed to be a day where I photographed baseball during the day, and then at night I would see a downtown festival in Otterbein. I had a family event in between, but it would have worked out to be a photography rich day. Of course before I left for the family event I saw that the festival in Otterbein was cancelled. I drove through the rain out past Otterbein for my family event barely able to see. The rain didn’t let up for hours. When it finally did I drove back to Lafayette. On the way through Otterbein I saw that The Dugout and the homes around it were flooded. It is really crazy how much rain they got in such a short period of time.
A Little Hesitation
I really hesitated to put this photo out. On one hand it is news, and sometimes I cover news events. On the other hand people were hurting because of the flooding here. At the end of the day I thought that any attention to this was good as it might help bring some extra funds in for those affected by the rain. This is a place that I love to visit throughout the year. In fact on my way into the festival I had planned on getting something from here. Hopefully they didn’t have too much damage here, and they can keep bringing smiles to those in Otterbein.
