Downtown Wabash, Saturday Night

A Beautiful Night In Downtown Wabash, Indiana

A few weekends ago we were back in Wabash, Indiana for a softball tournament. I am that weird parent. I am not the most social so I usually head to my room when the games are over to edit the photo from the day. When that is done I will try and find some photos in the town that interest me. This town was the perfect town for a blue hour photo walk. It has historic lights and great theaters to photograph. I knew that I would end up down here early in the day. The stormy skies made for a perfect, longer blue hour and it let me make some extra photos like this one of the town that I really liked. I am glad I went for my little walk on a very nice Saturday night.

Finally Making The Photo

A couple of years ago I visited Wabash midday on the way home from a softball tournament further north. I loved the little town, and I knew that I wanted to come back and visit it again. I thought that this theater would look great at blue hour. When our travel schedule initially came out this year it had a tournament listed in Wabash. That was changed and I was a little sad. My chance at this photo like this might have gone with it. Thanks to a change in our schedule we visited Wabash twice in two weeks, and I was able to make some of the photos that I had sitting around in my brain for a couple of years.
