Watching The Sun Set Through The Smoke
Last night I was in my front yard watching the sun set through the smoke. I had the idea that it would look pretty cool. I made a couple of stops to document it on the way to campus. When I finally made it to my spot on campus I realized that it was starting to get lost in the smoke already. I didn’t have time to set up my tripod. I ran over and made the photo that you see above. In a couple of minutes you could just faintly see the sun. It is amazing just how thick the smoke must be. I think that I am busy tonight at sunset, but I would like another crack at some local landmarks with the smokey sunset.
A Less Reactive Blog
This blog started as a photo a day blog nearly fifteen years ago. Most of the time it has been a fairly reactive blog. You are almost seeing in real time what I am up to. Lately though I have been having fun making posts ahead of time. Right now I am pretty well stocked up with posts in the near future. When something cool comes up I just move a post back a bit to make room. I like this laid back approach to the blog. When you have been posting everyday for so long it is nice to feel like you have some free time to fail a bit with photos.
