The Hawk In Right Field

When I was a kid I could turn on the TV almost any day of the summer and see a hawk hanging out in right field. Of course that was when the Cubs had signed Andre ‘The Hawk’ Dawson to their team. A couple of weeks ago while at a softball game out at Central Catholic I saw this hawk flying around. It eventually landed on one of the outfield light poles. I was not there to make bird photos, but the bird photographer in me couldn’t resist.

Time For Birding

Lately it seems like I have something going on almost any time of day when there is good light to play with when it comes to the birds. The migration must be happening in full force right now, but I just haven’t been out making photos like I would like to. I need to make a point to get out and make some photos in the next couple of weeks before it is too late.
