A House Sparrow In The Snow
This female house sparrow really did not care that I was a few feet away from it. The snow was falling and it was busy looking for food. It did pause long enough for me to make this photo of it. My long lens allowed me to make a little snokeh all around the bird. When the snow was really falling I was hoping to see many more birds show up, but this is the one that really let me make a photo of it.
The Backyard Studio Is Open
I have not posted many bird photos this year, but the backyard studio is open. I have been trying to wait a little longer to post bird photos until I have a few ready for a longer post that maybe has a little more of a story behind it. The good news is that I have been productive enough in my photography that it has allowed me to wait a bit on some posts. Having too many photos to post is always a good thing when you have a blog where you post a photo a day. This year it will be twelve years straight of posting at least one new photo a day. When I started this thing I didn’t give myself a month. I made it a little longer than that.
Hard to believe it has been 12 years already. That is a nice pic of the sparrow in the snow, even though I hate snow now.

Thanks. The snow is good for some things.
The snow elevates the shot.
Thank you. I was hoping for more action during the snow, but this was pretty much it.
