Midnights Like This
Last night after the kids went to bed I went out to make some photos of campus in the rain. If you have followed this blog for any length of time then you know that I love reflections. The heavy rain meant lots of puddles on campus to play around with. It is always a little harder to make photos on nights like this. You have to keep your lens clean, but still get down in the puddles. The results are usually pretty fun though.
One For Me
Out of all of the photos that I made last night this one might be my favorite. It might not be the most popular on the blog, but that is okay. This past year I came up with a theory that I need to be a more selfish photographer. Photography feels much better when you shed the worry about what others think. Sports photography is one area where I used to be bad at this. I was making photos for others and not myself. This year I have been very selfish with my sports photography, and overall I think that my galleries are better because of it. It is a weird philosophy to take, but in the end I think that it has helped me grow a little more as a photographer.
