Making Backyard Portraits

This was a rainy week. There were a couple of days that were complete washouts as far as photography goes. On one of those days I set up a little studio in my backyard to do some backyard bird portraits. I was hoping that some of the birds passing through would stop by the studio, but they always stayed just outside of my range. A couple of house sparrows took me up on my offer though, and I was able to make some portraits of them in the rain.

Below are a few more of my favorite photos from my backyard session with the sparrows. It was a fun photo session, and I am sure that I will do it again in the future. Hopefully though the rain holds off this week and I can make some photos while out on a walk.
