Photographing My Second No-Hitter Of The Year At Bob Friend Field
Last night was originally scheduled to be much different than it turned out. I had softball games to attend for both girls. The weather came in and changed those plans though. As I was picking up my little though I noticed that they were really working hard to get Bob Friend Field ready for the game. That worked continued long after we left, and the game was able to happen last night only because of that hard work. After dinner I realized that the blue hour would be a little longer because of the clouds so I packed up a bag and headed down to the park. I am glad that I did as I saw my second no-hitter of the season. Much like the first no-hitter I was clueless as to what was happening. I arrived late and when I did there was a man on base. I had no idea how he got there. I spent the game having some fun, and trying out some new angles with some shorter glass. I wanted to take advantage of that great sky. At the end of the day I was lucky enough to document a little history. Going into last baseball season I had never seen a baseball no-hitter in person. Now I have seen three of them with two of them coming in my neighborhood. Baseball is an amazing sport, and you never know what you are going to see.
Couldn’t Happen To A Better Guy
The pitcher who threw the no-hitter last night was Corey Adams. If you follow this blog then you know that I am a big fan of this young man. He is a fellow creative who I think is better off the field then he is on the field. He just threw a no-hitter so that should tell you a little about how good he is at creating content. We don’t hold it against him that he chose to go to Indiana either because they have a great creative program that produces some amazing talent. They have a good one heading their way.
More Photos From The Game
I really wasn’t at the game to document it. The team has a photographer for that. I was just there to have some fun with the light and make a few photos. I ended up making way more than I wanted to, but that is how it usually goes. Here are a few more favorites from the game.
