Day One Of The Big Ten Swimming And Diving Championships

It seems like I have photographed the men’s or women’s version of these championships quite a bit. Last year the diving championships that were here was my first real chance to get out and make photos with the players. It was a great step forward after how the prior year had been. Right off the bat on Wednesday night you knew that this week would be fun. The teams were into it and yelling and chanting. That makes for a fun atmosphere to make photos in. The photo above was the first photo I made on the night.

A Little Behind

By the time this goes live I will have already started my final day of these championships. I purposely made it this way so that I could keep up with the mountain of photographs that I will be making over these four days. This was the light day with only a couple of races. The next few days will be filled with lots of prelims and finals. The emotion is amazing though, and I live for this stuff. When it is all over and I have had a chance to think about it for a while I might put together a post about the entire meet. For now though I will just post a few photos from each day.
