Listening To The Nutcracker

As a kid the Nutcracker ballet meant one thing. It meant that I got out of school for the day to go to Chicago to see it. Over the years though I found that I really enjoyed the music of the show. Now I play it through while wrapping presents. While at my parents house this weekend I saw this little nutcracker and thought that it would be a perfect addition to the Christmas countdown on the blog.

Almost There

We are almost there! The kids only have a couple of days of school left, and then it really starts to get real. I love this time of year, and I am still a little kid who cannot wait for the big day to get here. The lead up though is always fun. I love the music, the lights, and the spirit of the season. We still have a few more days of that as well.
