Hanging Out In Downtown Lafayette

If you follow me on Instagram then you know that I had a fun adventure in downtown Lafayette yesterday morning. We got a pretty cool tour of the courthouse that will show up on the blog after the holidays. After our tour we did some shopping in downtown. Amazon is nice to use, but nothing is better than holding something and buying it locally. This was one of my favorite windows downtown while we were out and about. It just had an old time feel to it. It reminded me of the windows in shops when I was a kid.

Having Some Fun

You can eliminate the reflections in a photo by putting your lens up square to the window. Here though I peeled the top of the lens back just a little to let some of the buildings across the street bleed into the frame. I thought that it added something to the frame. Sometimes the fun in photography is making the obvious photo, and then coming up with a way to make it a little better. This was a fun way to do that.
