The Clapping Circle At Purdue Is Lit

Last year with no tree at the Union an alum paid for these lights to go up at the clapping circle. It was a great way to still have some holiday spirit on campus. With Christmas at the Union being back this year I was not sure if this light display would be back. I was very happy to see that it was up again. It is a cool place to walk through at night.

Great To See, But Hard To Photograph

The display is very nice, but I still have not found a great way to photograph it. For some reason it just doesn’t seem to lend itself to photography. One thing that I think it does lend itself to is portraits. If you want to make some cool portraits this time of year this would be a great place to do it. You have the lights all around to light your subject, and the background lights for some great bokeh.
