The Birds Of Winter Have Come To The Backyard
One bird that I always watch for as a sign of winter coming is the dark-eyed junco. When it shows up you know that the weather is about to change. They are in the backyard now, and it seems like they brought the weather with them. These birds will be here until late spring before taking off to wherever they spend their summers.
The Last Days Of Leaves
For the majority of the time that the junco is here our tree does not have any leaves on it. It is one of the last trees to lose leaves though so for a short period of time I can make some of these photos. I have been really using this tree lately because of that fact. It won’t be long until every bird photo on it is just a bird on a stick. I like the idea of having some different looking photos.
Juncos are so cute and soft-looking. Happy Thanksgiving, Dave.
