Today The New Loeb Stadium Opens

If you have read this blog at all then you know how much I loved the old Loeb Stadium. I found it late in its life, but I really enjoyed making photos there. It was just a cool old park. It had good light and dust that made for amazing baseball photos. I have not been in the new stadium yet, but from the outside it looks pretty good. Tonight I will actually get my first chance to see what the stadium looks like. More importantly I will get to see how the light falls on it. If all goes well it will be my first baseball sunset of 2021 as well.

The Old Park

This is a photo that I made as the stadium was in its final days. The Lafayette Aviators would play the final games in old Loeb. Over the years I made some photos that I really liked in the old park. A new stadium though offers some opportunities to make new photos with all new backgrounds.
