What Do We Do Now?
This Boilermaker statue has been a reoccurring subject for me since those fateful days in March. In fact when it all went to crap this was the first photo that I went out and made. It was a sunset at this statue. Here we are a few months later and I don’t think anything has really changed. With the school year starting I don’t see how sports are going to happen. You can see little hints here and there telling you that. People are losing their jobs already because of this. I think in the next couple of weeks things will start to snowball. Seeing the bits of news trickle in now feels a lot like mid-March. That feeling that you know what is coming, but you don’t want to admit it. We can all see what is going to happen, but we just don’t want to think about it yet.
What Comes Next?
I don’t know that I have ever wondered more about what is coming next than I have over the last few months. I really hoped that we could get a handle on this thing so that sports could come back. As the last couple of months have come and gone though I have realized that my business may need to drastically change to survive. I have been doing more portrait and landscape work lately. I would like to do more portrait work than I am doing now. If you need a portrait or know someone who needs photos made of them there has never been a better time.
