30 Days Of Baseball Photos: #17 Playing In The Rain

Max Effort In The Rain

The story of the first day of the 2017 Big Ten baseball tournament was the rain. It rained hard all day. My game was not until late at night, but I used my rain gear and still made photos all day. I love baseball, and I love it when something different happens. Torrential rain certainly qualifies for that. When it rains like this you end up with minimal gear. For most of this game I just had my 400 under rain gear on me. Simplifying your gear helps you focus a little more at times. I need to have that mindset more during games.

Being A Part Of History

I loved the fact that I was able to be a part of Purdue returning to the Big Ten tournament in 2017. It was a great first step for the team. I would have loved to have been in North Carolina the following year when they made it back to the NCAA Tournament, but it was not meant to be. This team I think is headed in the right direction. Another chance to see them in the tournament will not be far away.
