Another Bittinger Field Sunset

Watching The Sun Set At Bittinger Stadium

Last night I knew that the sunset was going to possibly be good. With fast moving clouds you never know exactly what you are going to get. The clouds never truly lit up like I hoped that they would, but there was some amazing light. Bittinger Stadium is always a place with great sunsets. At this time of year though I should by making sunset photos during games and not on random nights with an empty stadium. At this point though I will take what I can get.

What Could Have Been

This was supposed to be senior weekend coming up. Instead of getting the field game ready Steve was doing more long term work to it last night. It is hard to look at these empty stadiums and not think of the student athletes who had their senior season take away. Some will come back to do it all over again. The reality though is that many probably won’t. I feel for them because this was all taken away so fast. It is just a game, but that game is what they have spent their lives playing. The blood, sweat, and tears that they have put into it are real. To have it gone in a heartbeat earlier than expected has to be rough. Last night we talked about a way to still honor the seniors. Maybe that plan can get put in motion, and we can honor them the way that they should be honored.
