The Pink Moon Puts On Quite A Show
Last night I went out to the sports complex at Purdue with the idea of making a photo of the ‘pink’ moon. During the last full moon I had a great outing and made some photos that I really liked. During that session I remember talking about how much I was looking forward to baseball season. Of course that never came to be. It was only fitting that I was out in that area for the next session.
When The Idea Doesn’t Quite Work
When I went out I had one idea in mind for a close up of the moon going over the spire on top of Bittinger Stadium. I didn’t factor the light poles in my calculations though so that photo didn’t work. I started to get upset, and then saw this composition in front of me. I moved over so that I could get the little grass hill to cover up some distractions in the foreground, and I had a photo. I love it when I can be calm and think through a situation when it doesn’t work out the way that I want it to.
