Yet Another Post From The Celery Bog
I have been going to the Celery Bog way too much lately. It is a good way to get better with my 600mm lens, and it is fun trying to spot a six inch bird in a tree. For most of my life I never would have thought that I would be out in the woods looking for birds. In fact for a large part of it I might have beat myself up for even thinking about it. This really has been a fun way to get out and just hang around for a while with no phones or any other distractions. I wish that I had done this a long time ago. On this trip I forgot the 1.4x tele as I took it off the night before for my baseball game. I really wished that I had the extender a few times on the day. I still really had fun, and I made some images that I really liked.
Twice As Good
This year I have only had two sightings of the Prothonotary Warbler. Both of those times though I came away with a shot that I really liked. This is a beautiful bird, and it makes for good photos. When it is doing something interesting that is even more true. I wish that all warblers were like this. When they make an appearance they stop for a nice looking photo.
