Bird Photography At The Celery Bog
What about that title? It took me hours to come up with that. After having so many blog posts about the Celery Bog it becomes difficult to come up with new ones. This was better than the other title that I came up with. Maybe it is back to just posting about individual birds as it makes it easier to name the posts. You can only have so many posts named ‘A Spring Walk At The Celery Bog’ after all.
Keep Walking
A little rain had started near the end of my walk today, and after four hours I was ready to call it a day. I decided to go just down the paved path a little hoping one of the newer (to me) swallows would perch for me. Of course with a lot of luck one did. I found three new birds yesterday, but only really got a good photo of one of them. This cliff swallow was that bird. I didn’t even know this bird existed until I saw it perched here. It was a perfect way to make a photo with a nice background as well. Sometimes you really are rewarded for going just a bit further.
More Photos From The Day
I really have no idea what I am doing out at the bog. There are so many people out there who know more about the birds and make better pictures than I do. I have a lot of fun doing it though, and that is all that matters. It is pretty amazing to me just how much that I have learned in such a short time though. This is a great time of year to get out there as so many birds are passing through. Here are a few photos that I liked from the day.
