Finding A New Spot On Campus
I have made many pictures on the campus of Purdue University before. It wasn’t until around the seventh anniversary of me moving back though that I made a photo from the spot above. I knew it was there, but I was always waiting for the right day to make it. Well at some point you just have to make the photo, and that is what I did. My daughter and I were walking around the Union when we encountered a wedding party getting their photos taken. We went way wide to get around that, and I found myself in front of the Purdue hedge. I decided why not and made a photo. In doing so I came up with an idea for a future photo. Sometimes things just happen when they happen. I need to find a good day to make another photo here. Maybe by the time this post goes live I will have already done that.
Summer Is The Time To Explore
I seem to explore campus more in the summer. Maybe it is the fact that most of the kids are back home, and not at school. I am not the townie who hates the fact that college kids live here, but I do enjoy the times when they are gone. Some of that may have to do with the fact that the kids walking around easily could be mine. I do start to feel old walking campus with the younger generation out and about. I also like to experience things alone at times too. When campus is almost empty it really makes that much easier to do.
