Indiana State Baseball Senior Day

Senior Day For Indiana State Baseball

This past weekend my focus was on the MVC Track and Field Championships. I still had an eye on the baseball games being played down the road. On Friday night instead of getting some rest after a long day I went over to make some photos during the last inning and a half. Sunday I made my way to Bob Warn Field one last time this year to photograph the senior ceremony for the three seniors. Dane Giesler, Weston Rivers, and Ethan Larrison all suited up in blue and white for the last time Sunday. I had a small window to be at the field, but it was worth it to give the seniors a little extra on their day.

One Last Time

I was waiting for the ceremony to start when I saw senior Ethan Larrison sitting in the dugout. I had an idea for a cool photo, but I needed to be a little sneaky. I hate the posed look. I wanted to capture him just how he was sitting there. I know that he caught me, but he was cool enough to act like he didn’t care. That makes for a quick portrait on senior day in the dugout.

Finally!

I have wanted to photograph Dane Giesler’s dad for most of this season. During a game it just never was good light or the right moment. At the end of the senior day festivities I had both. I was racing to get back to the track before the first races started, but I had time for one quick portrait. I love it when things work out.

For The Last Time

This baseball game and the track meet Sunday were the last two events on the campus of Indiana State for this school year. It does not seem like that long ago that I was heading down to Terre Haute for the start of football practice. It has been a very fun year with the Sycamores, and it is hard to believe that it is almost over. Yesterday I pulled my athletics pass out of my credential holder. It made me think a little on this past season. You may see a post in the next few days with some of those thoughts in it.

The Week In Photos

This shoot was part of a busy Sunday for me. A busy one, but a fulfilling one. It is days and weeks like this one when I feel very lucky to be doing what I am doing. I would pinch myself to see if it is a dream, but I am way too sunburnt to try and pinch myself. Last week was an amazing and fun week though. You can see some of my favorite photos from the week here on my Exposure page.
