Unexpected Barns

Finding An Unexpected Barn

If you follow my work then you know that I love to find a new and interesting barn. For some reason I just like the way that older barns look in my photos. From day one they have been a subject that I enjoy making photos of. We don’t have mountains and oceans here in Indiana to photograph. I always make the joke that we have windmills and barns instead. With so many interesting barns out there I still have a lot of work to do to photograph them all.

The Keeper Of The Barn

I had a plan to shoot back towards the sun with the barn in the foreground. Above I was shooting the opposite way. I am in the middle of the road as this is happening and the keeper of the barn came charging towards me. The keeper is a large dog that apparently does not like people making pictures of his barn. I hopped in the car knowing that I had at least one interesting photo of this barn. The keeper wins this time.
