Finally Seeing the Lafayette Christmas Parade in Person

Saturday night we made our way downtown to see the Lafayette Christmas Parade. I spent most of my morning getting back to Lafayette from Missouri. The one goal in my mind was to spend some time with my daughter. As the parade ended and Santa was waving to the crowd I was glad that I did so. I did manage to attempt a photo of the moment, but with my daughter in my arms it did not exactly come out as planned. I still like the moment though so I put it at the top of this post. This was the first year that the parade was held at night, and other than the cold I would say that it went off well. I liked the floats lit up coming down Main Street. I think that next year they should have it at night again as it seemed to add to the excitement of the night.

More Photos From the Lafayette Christmas Parade

Saturday night I put together an Exposure page with some of my favorite images from the night that you can find here. I was not planning on doing this, but I had a good time making photos of the event so I decided to do it. I do not get out enough to local events, and this was one time that I was glad that I did.

The Week In Photos

Last week was a fun week. Five games in five days with a lot of driving in between left me with some photos that I really liked. You can see my gallery of images from last week here on my Exposure page.
