Dallas Baptist Wins a Fantastic Game to Claim the MVC Tournament Championship

Last night I was able to watch two really good games to close out the 2016 MVC Baseball Championship. Missouri State kept up its hot hitting to knock Bradley out of the tournament in game one. Game two was the championship game between Dallas Baptist the #1 seed in the tournament and Missouri State who was the #7 seed in the tournament. Both of these teams had been just killing the ball the entire tournament so I expected a slugfest. What I saw instead was a great ballgame between two teams determined to win. The game had many moments where great defensive plays saved the day, but in the end Dallas Baptist took home the title in the 12th inning. At the end of a multi day tournament like this you would expect the bullpen to be a little fatigued, but it was the pitching that was saving the day for both teams. In a game like the one last night you really don’t want there to be a losing side. Those Missouri State kids were battling to get into the NCAA Tournament. They are a great team that would make some noise if included in the tournament. Spencer Johnson was voted the player of the tournament, and with good reason. It seemed as if the crowd would move up in their seats when he came to bat. He was just that good this week. As the tournament awards were being handed it I heard names that had done great things during the tournament. This was an amazing four days of baseball. It is tiring for sure, but completely worth it. I would love to shoot this tournament again if they would have me.

Bonus Photos

Here are a few bonus photos that I liked from the final day of the MVC Baseball Championship. This was a fun four days with many great photos to be made during that time. I will probably post a gallery with my favorite images of the tournament in a few days. For now though here are some that I liked from the final day of the tournament.
