Missouri State is the Big Winner on Day Three of the Missouri Valley Conference Baseball Tournament
Yesterday was the last day with four games in a day. Today is championship Saturday, and by the end of the night a winner will be crowned. Yesterday there were no walk offs to shoot, but plenty of exciting baseball. Missouri State used the long ball to win both of their games. They have a powerful lineup that makes it hard to choose when to break away to upload images. They started their day by knocking Indiana State out of the tournament, and then beat Bradley to force an extra game this afternoon. The winner of the Missouri State game against Bradley will take on Dallas Baptist in the championship game. Dallas Baptist defeated Evansville yesterday afternoon to advance straight to the championship game. After twelve games in three days you would think that I am ready for a break, but I was hoping to get more than one game in today. This has been so much fun to shoot that I don’t want it to end. It has to end tonight though with one team earning the right to play in the NCAA Regionals. This has been a pleasure to shoot with everyone involved being amazing. I have never wanted for food or drink during the tournament. I may have even gained a little weight as the food has been so good. I have not always been able to say that at previous tournaments that I have covered. I would love to shoot this tournament every year.
MiLB Photos of the Week
Last week I only shot one MiLB game, but I did get another photo in the MiLB Photos of the Week. This week I will not shoot any MiLB games so I will not be in the gallery next week. It really is awesome to see your work alongside some other great photographers week after week. You can find the gallery here. They took my name off of the caption for some reason, but my photo is the shot of T.J. House arguing with the umpire.
It was another long day of shooting, but when the baseball is good you don’t seem to notice it. Here are a few images that I enjoyed from day three of the tournament.
