Leaving Walt Disney World

On our last night at Walt Disney World we had just watched the early fireworks show for New Year’s Eve. We had dinner reservations at the Polynesian Hotel so we had to get out of the packed Magic Kingdom and on the monorail. As we were fighting through the crowd I also had my eye on any possible photo opportunities. I loved the light in this scene so I hurried up and made this image. With my group leaving the park in a hurry I did not have much time, but I knew what I wanted and got it. This was a quick grab shot, but was one of my favorites from the trip.

Using the Canon 24-105mm f/4 Lens

My favorite travel lens is the Canon 24-105mm lens. I talk about it a lot on this blog, but it really works very well while walking around. I could zoom in to get some of the details of a scene, or zoom out to 24mm to capture a scene like the one above. This is a lens that I wanted for a long time, and finally was able to buy. After using it for a few months now I wish that I had bought it in 2012 when I first was looking at it.
