Christmas at the Purdue Union is Here!
Yesterday the lights were turned on the Purdue Christmas tree for the first time. Going to the union to see the tree has become a tradition in our family for a couple of reasons. The first is that the kids love it. The second is that I love photographing the Christmas decorations that are displayed there. This is a great time of year to visit the union to photograph it. The building is a great one to photograph during any season, but the Christmas season is my favorite.
A Christmas Tradition
Each year we make a trip to the union to see the Christmas tree and the gingerbread houses. This year we made it to the union early in the season so we could see the large gingerbread house before it was completely eaten. This is not the only time of the year that we go to the union, but it might be the only time of year that we go every year. A fun dinner at Pappy’s Sweet Shop followed by some fun looking at all of the Christmas decorations is a great way to spend an evening. Now that we have gone so early in the season maybe we can make it back for round two in a week or so.
