Purdue Men’s Basketball Rolls in Exhibition Game

The Boilermakers Look Very Good to Start the Season

Last night I was still in Mackey Arena to photograph the men’s basketball exhibition game. I had shot the women’s game earlier in the day, and I decided to stick around to shoot the men’s game. I normally don’t get into the exhibition games too much, but I really wanted to see Caleb ‘Biggie’ Swanigan play. I have heard a lot about him, but until last night I had still never seen him play in person. I was not disappointed. I think that this was a good team without him, but with him in the lineup this is a dangerous team. In 2009-2010 I travelled a bit to watch that team play because I sensed a special quality about them. So far this team is looking pretty good. I will have to see them play against some real competition before getting too excited though. The pieces do appear to be in place though.

Bonus Photos From the Game

Below are a couple of bonus photos from the game that I liked. Yesterday was more about getting used to the new lights in the arena and shooting basketball in general again. I make no secret about the fact that basketball is not my favorite sport to watch. I do enjoy photographing it though, and this team makes it fun to photograph. You can find an Exposure page that I made from the game here. You can also check out the Exposure page from the women’s game that was played prior to the men’s game here. It never escapes me just how lucky I am to do what I do. I love photographing Purdue sporting events, and I hope that I can continue to do it for a long time. I hope that my photos show that love.
