Hampton Puts Up a Valiant Fight, But Cannot Match Kentucky

If you know me then you know that I love the underdog. I always want to see David beat Goliath. This was the ultimate David and Goliath matchup. On one side you have Kentucky who has not lost a game yet this season. On the other end you have Hampton who needed to win their conference tournament and a play in game to get to a .500 record. For a while Hampton stayed near Kentucky. A bad stretch took the game past the 33 point margin that Vegas initially predicted. The Pirates fought back though, and gave it their all. It really was great to see these young men give it all for pride. At the end of the game the bench cleared, but the effort remained. I was truly impressed with the effort, and these young men have nothing to be ashamed of.

The End Of Basketball Season For Me

I shot my last basketball game of the season last night to cap off a big day. I really thought that my season would have ended with the West Lafayette High School team a couple of weeks ago, but this was too good to pass up. When I saw that Purdue was in the Louisville region I knew that I wanted to go. In a couple of days I had secured Iowa State as a client, and then with their improbable run Hampton as well. It allowed me to do something really cool for a couple of days. I thought that it would be a must-day deal, but of course that is the nature of March basketball. This has been an amazing year with some highs, and of course the lows of the end of seasons and careers. Next year I really have no idea what I will do during basketball season. I shot so much this year, and next year it could be very little. That would be a long winter for sure. For now though it is baseball season. The sport that I love is actually going on right now. The good news is that you are done seeing basketball posts on here for a while. The bad news is that they play a lot more baseball games than they do basketball games. If you like my landscape work, and that is why you come to this blog I will try and include a little more of that as well.

Bonus Photos

Below are a few bonus shots from the game last night. I also put up a gallery here which will grow over the coming days.
