Sunset On Fishtrap Lake

Photo of the Day

Today we lay my Uncle Joe to rest. His death was a shock to me, and I don’t know if it has fully sunk in yet. While we were collecting some things for the funeral at his lake house the sun started to go down. Of course I grabbed my camera to make some pictures of the sunset. I wanted to make some pictures of the golden light on the glistening snow on the lake. I thought that it was quite fitting that one branch sticks up higher than the rest.

Technical Data

Most of this was done in camera. I underexposed a bit in Lightroom so that I could have the branches in silhouette. I did tweak a couple of sliders in Lightroom to bring out the scene a bit more. In the end it was a quick edit.
