Day 115: With The Grain

After a day full of shooting that left me with a lot of editing last night and this morning I decided to take it easy today. I drove just North of Lafayette to the small town of Wolcott. I did not know where I was going when I set off, but at the last second decided to take the right up 231. The town is very small, but one thing that you immediately notice is the fact that there are grain elevators everywhere. I was driving just one road off the main drag in town when I saw this shot. It put two of the elevators together along with part of the downtown landscape. It is a moody shot, but at this time of the year what else is there?

By the way the pictures that I liked from yesterdays photowalk in Indy looking at the preparations for the Super Bowl are now up on my Facebook page. You can find a link in the blogroll section below, or just search for Pinola Photography on Facebook. I really like my shot that was featured yesterday. In fact I really didn’t want to post today in order to keep it on the front page. I am supposed to post a photo a day though so I grudgingly decided to post this picture. When you take one you really like you know that it will be hard to top it. Maybe in the next week I can get something that will make me forget last night’s picture.
