Day 61: A Friendly HDR

I must have passed this church thirty times while looking for pictures to take since the fall. In my head I have always said that I will stop one of these days and give it a shot. I am glad that I waited because using HDR brought out textures that I am not good enough to get normally. I tried three separate setups to get this shot. Three angles to try and get a good shot. I liked all three, but this one with the sign was the one that I liked the best. For some reason the lower portion that says “the friendliest church on the corner.” I tried to make this image multiple ways in post processing. For some reason in the HDR process it always wants to put a random spotlight on the image. I chose this version that was made with three RAW images combined because the spotlight wasn’t as big. I have to figure out why this is happening so that I can stop it in the future. For now I am mostly happy with this picture. With my limited time today I really had only about five minutes to get a good photo in during the daylight hours. In that respect I am happy with the image I was able to get.

    1. Thanks. I have been in love with HDR for a while, but just now I have started to shoot it. I have really shot only HDR lately so it is rare when I shoot something else.
