Revisiting The Canon 60D: The Indiana Veterans Library

Back At The Indiana Veterans Home

Back in 2011 I made my first ever HDR image at the veterans home. It was not a great image, and I didn’t even have the license to use the program. The photo ran as part of my photo 365 project with a huge Photomatix watermark on it. It was the first of many HDR images. I really enjoyed making them even if they were mostly over baked. Since then I have found a more subtle approach to photography. I don’t need the blue sky and the sun to show up here. I kind of like the warm look that you get without that. It was nice to be back at the home making photos again though. Early on in the blog it was a frequent subject because it was so close to me.

15 years Of This Blog

This week this blog turns 15. It is hard to believe that fifteen years has gone by so quickly. In 2011 I had gone to conference to learn more about my camera and photography. I spent a couple of months just wandering around with no purpose to my photography. A Google+ group gave me the idea to start a photo a day blog. It would force me to go out and make a photo every day. That is what this started off as. It is crazy to think about what photography has allowed me to do over the years. This week the theme is all about celebrating some of my favorite things to photograph with the camera that started this blog off.
