The Lafayette Theater Re-Imagined

Work has begun on the Lafayette Theater. It is a great venue that I have not been inside of for some time. The city took it over a few years ago, and it has not had many events since then. Right now it will be under construction for the next year or so until it will re-open hopefully with more events inside of it. Hopefully when it is done I can photograph the first concert that is inside of it.

A Classic Theater

I really love how this theater looks. In the nearly fifteen years that this blog has been around this might be one of the more photographed venues on here. I don’t like the idea of what I have heard that the new marquee is going to look like. I have seen other historic downtown theaters go to the ugly LED marquee and it never looks good. In the final months here I tried to make as may photos of this theater as I could before it is redone.
